Mides with new business area at the ECR 2011

Supporter und platform for systems in the area of diagnostic imaging: The innovative Austrian company Mides again represented itself at the ECR – the European Congress of Radiology –in Vienna. As Europe-wide specialist in the field of ultrasound probe repair, Mides this year for the first time appears as retailer of high-quality CT and MRI devices.

„The acceptance and awareness of high-quality second-hand equipment has been increasing in the last few years. Due to our expertise in the area of diagnostic imaging and the existing clientele it was obvious to establish the distribution of Computer Tomography (CT) and Magnet Rensonace Imaging (MRI) devices as a new business area. This area we now want to present to the professional world at the ECR 2011 (first level, 631)”, explains Norbert Minarik, CEO Mides GmbH with headquarter in Graz/ Austria. Mides buys, uninstalls and refurbishes used CT and MRI devices in Austria and takes care of the project coordination of the medical-engineering planning, the logistics, installation, initiation and training of the staff. Service and spare part supply complete the offer and are characteristic for the well-known Mides holistic customer service. With this new business area Mides is responsive to the cost explosion at the medical technology market worldwide.
Also the ultrasound probe repair is themed by „saving of costs”, with which Mides is on the right track to become Europe-wide market leader. Repairing a defective probe means a saving up to 70 percent in comparison with buying a new one. With the “Golden Standard Analysis System” standard probes and TEE probes of all manufacturers are analyzed and refurbished by highly specialized technicians. In the high-tech laboratory electronic, mechanic and other damages like permeable coatings, damages to the bend protection and casing as well as snappings or defect cable insulations are detected and resolved.
As ISO-certified service provider Mides not only offers a perfect probe repair but also a complete service. Through an extensive stock of courtesy probes, customers can always borrow probes whilst their own are being repaired.
