‘This combines detail-rich CT/MRT mapping with the advantages of real-time sonography. With its amplitude modulation, this system also offers a completely new technique for contrast sonography, which is so sensitive that initial trials have even demonstrated its suitability for use in transplant medicine.’

Cardiovascular ultrasound systems
Another new system in the compact range of GE’s Vivid ultrasound products is the Vivid q, a cardiovascular ultrasound system equipped with improved imaging technology and new quantification tools. ‘This enables the mobile system to diagnose the cardiovascular anatomy and left ventricular function even under the most difficult ultrasound conditions. The ICE (Intra-Cardiac Echo) imaging integrated into the Vivid i and Vivid q systems also offers exceptional imaging in real time. This particularly helps doctors when carrying out complex electrophysiological and interventional cardiology procedures.’
