He describes the quality of the 2D images generated by his equipment as excellent, based on 15 years of research and expertise, and 3D as well as 4D images are enhanced by highly sensitive transducers. A further highlight is the long warranty of three years for the units and one and a half years for spares. The G family of models is differentiated by the number of channels.
At MEDICA, Emperor presented its new G30 ultrasound – a portable device “which is extremely easy to handle”, according to Alpha Zan. This multi-purpose product, which is perfectly suited, e.g., for emergency wards and bedside diagnostics in the context of mobile rounds, will be available for worldwide distribution shortly. Data output is in the DICOM format. “We showcased this product at CMEF in Xiamen, and we are now bringing it to MEDICA.”
Distributors wanted

Distribution in European markets is done by partners who also provide support and maintenance. “For this, and further, regions, Emperor is very much interested in adding eligible distributors to their list of trusted partners”, added Alpha Zan.

Watch out for “made in China”
Comparably low cost remains a key advantage of medical technology originating in China, according to the General Manager. On a different vein, however, manufacturers in the country have caught up significantly with regard to innovation capability, which is documented by the number of patents taken out; and quality has reached a very high level over the past years. The ultrasound market serves as a perfect example for this. Physicians and purchasers should keep an eye on this manufacturer, and in general on products made in China.
