Aloka’s new ProSound F75

Launching its new ProSound F75 at the 20th ISUOG World Congress in Prague this October, Aloka Holding AG explained that it was designed to meet the firm’s new ‘FIT’ ethos (Facilitated workflow; Investment return; True diagnostics).
Each machine can be tailored to any physician’s needs (over 45 user presets), simplifying the process, vastly reducing patient dependency and time to conduct each assessment. Additionally, the intelligent ‘sound velocity’ adjustment alters the frequency at which the signal is passed through tissue, enabling the system to operate always at optimum speed for different tissue densities

There are settings for Obstetrics and Gynaecology assessments (patient’s age, weight and pregnancy stage), and a new feature simultaneously displays stored and realtime images, useful for follow-ups. ProSound F75 user Professor Giuseppe Rizzo, at the obstetrics and gynaecology department, San Giovanni Calibita Hospital, said, ‘This premium ultrasound unit is exceptionally ergonomical and compact. Clinicians with no prior experience can be trained on all necessary functions to scan extremely quickly, without any difficulties. B-Mode imaging is excellent in every condition, gestational age and type of patient, with extremely detailed foetal heart examinations - even in the early weeks. Additionally, the eFlow+ technique is also superb and provides an excellent sensitivity, together with a high resolution that ensures diagnostic confidence in first trimester foetal heart examinations.’
Aloka’s ‘FIT’ principles explained:
F: Facilitated workflow
The ProSound F75 acknowledges the needs of performing examinations in a natural posture without stress or discomfort. The monitor and operation panel have a wide range of movement, which enables reduction of the operator’s muscle load up to 20%. Another factor is automation of operation to make examinations flow smoother. The ProSound F75 allows simple operation so the operator can concentrate on the examination in comfort.
I: Investment return
The ProSound F75 covers numerous applications in one console, with its wide variety of probes, measurement/report package and many other factors. Affordable cost of ownership is guaranteed due to the reliable system design and easyto-upgrade software. With simple and intuitive operation, new users can easily learn to operate the system.
T: True diagnostics
By combining all of our cuttingedge technologies, the ProSound F75 performs high spatial resolution. The combination of the CPWG+ (compound pulse wave generator, the new front-end processor) and Full Aperture Apodisation (uses all transducer elements of a probe) perfects focus throughout the entire image. This technology will enhance the efficiency of examinations, and will benefit both patients and examiners.
The ProSound F75 will be available in Europe from November 2010.
