Four installations to bolster Romania's diagnostic landscape
United Imaging announces four installations of their diagnostic imaging systems at three healthcare facilities in Romania. Working closely with distributor Tehnoplus Medical, the company hopes to increase diagnostic accuracy and support better treatment outcomes.
First of the facilities, RMN Scan Medical Clinic has invested in the uMR 580 1.5T magnetic resonance (MR) system. With its proprietary shimming and intelligent eddy current compensation technology, the scanner is designed for superior magnetic field uniformity and robust gradient performance, while reducing power consumption and scan times across all anatomical regions. Among the system's features are one-click automated table positioning for head scans and multi-step scan planning streamline workflow.
Another MRI from United Imaging goes to Global Medical Health – the clinic selected the uMR 780 3.0T MR system for its diagnostic imaging department. The scanner is equipped with several AI-assisted modes, such as a deep learning-based acceleration technology for greatly accelerated image acquisition. With a 170 cm short magnet design, the system is designed for exceptional magnetic field homogeneity, fast imaging and superior fat saturation over a wide field of view, while providing reliable diagnostic information in off-centre imaging, the company reports.
Pallady Medical Clinic has expanded its diagnostic capabilities with the integration of two imaging systems: the uDR 266i motorised U-arm digital radiography system, and the uCT 528 80-slice computed tomography (CT) system.
The DR system is built to effectively streamline the X-ray imaging process while ensuring high diagnostic accuracy. Its multi-function console allows remote control from the operating room, while its 17"x17" HD flat-panel detector supports versatile imaging and positioning. Designed for reliability in demanding clinical settings, the system features a high-strength steel structure, precision gear backlash eliminator, and locking device for secure performance.
The CT scanner incorporates high-end features such as an advanced Z-detector, built with through-silicon via (TSV) technology, to significantly reduce electronic noise to improve signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The refined voxel size captures fine anatomical details with remarkable clarity, while the gadolinium oxysulfide scintillator enables fast, efficient X-ray conversion. Directly integrated into the console, post-processing applications enhance and facilitate diagnosis with state-of-the-art algorithms that meticulously analyse medical imaging data to support diagnostic confidence. Medical staff can rely on the Easy-Logic intelligent prediction platform, which anticipates the next user action and speeds up the diagnostic process by preparing for the next phase, including tube preparation, gantry preparation, and data pre-processing.
"Our system will increase the efficiency of routine procedures, deliver lower radiation doses, and improve patient care – all at a lower total cost of ownership", United Imaging states. The company expresses its gratitude for the trust placed in them by these medical institutions and declares that it will remain committed to supporting their mission to deliver exceptional patient care throughout the region. "We would like to recognise the hard work and dedication of our local team in Romania, whose efforts were essential in making these installations a reality, and extend our sincere thanks to Tehnoplus Medical for their invaluable support throughout this process", they conclude.
