Parker presents innovative UGPIV solution

With UltraDrape, Parker Laboratories, Inc. announces the launch of a uniquely designed dressing for use during Ultrasound-Guided Peripheral Intravenous (UGPIV) procedures.

UltraDrape represents an unprecedented advancement enabling UGPIV practitioners to perform procedures efficiently, effectively, and at a significant cost savings when compared with use of sterile gels and covers

The first-of-its-kind dual-action dressing was engineered to address the challenges that often accompany UGPIV: extended procedure times, securement failure – a result of inadequate gel removal, and, as a result, increased risk of infection. UltraDrape was designed to be user-friendly and facilitate a no-touch aseptic procedure without compromising efficacy or impeding visualization.

According to Neal Buchalter, president of Parker Laboratories, “UltraDrape represents an unprecedented advancement enabling UGPIV practitioners to perform procedures efficiently, effectively, and at a significant cost savings when compared with use of sterile gels and covers. We are very excited to make UltraDrape available today through our worldwide distribution network.”
