North America at Medica

With an expected 450+ exhibitors from the United States of America and Canada, North America will offer one of the leading foreign contingents of exhibitors represented at MEDICA 2009 - making it the strongest medical industry trade fair beyond the North American continent for USA and Canadian companies.

47% increase in Canadian exhibitors

Well over 4,400 medical manufacturing firms are at Medica/COMPAMED 2009, filling all of Messe Düsseldorf’s 19 available halls with exhibits that span laboratory equipment/diagnostics, physiotherapy/orthopaedic equipment, disposables, electromedicine/medical technology, medical IT, furniture/facility management as well as medical components shown in the two halls of Compamed.

In this truly international trade fair, the international exposure is considered invaluable. This can be underlined by the 47% increase in Canadian technology exhibitors this year over 2008: 47 of the country’s companies are exhibiting in a 7,100 square feet area (also a new Medica space record, surpassing the previous one from 2002).
As in previous years, four product specific Canadian pavilions are focusing on electromedicine/medical technology, physiotherapy/orthopaedic equipment, disposables and laboratory equipment/diagnostics (see halls below).

Traditionally, the Canadian pavilions provide the smaller or first time exhibitors with a turnkey, fully serviced platform to demonstrate and market their products and services to the global industry. A complete design overhaul has given these pavilions a distinctly Canadian appearance this year, so they are more easily recognisable.
