The new software version 7.2 is now available in Europe. This release is another part of the company's 'Welcome, Future' initiative.
The upgrade enables gastroenterologists to perform EUS-guided Liver Attenuation Measurement (iATT) and 2D Shear Wave Elastography (SWE). "Shear wave elastography (SWE) has gained an important role in the diagnosis and management of patients with chronic liver disease (CLD)," the company reports, citing a recent publication of the World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB).1
Attenuation Measurement and 2D Shear Wave Elastography are established technologies for percutaneous or transabdominal ultrasound of the liver. The new software makes these technologies available for the assessment of liver disease via endoscopic ultrasound, supporting clinicians in the emerging field of endo-hepatology in the diagnosis and evaluation of patient response to treatment.
The software upgrade also includes B-Mode (brightness mode) image quality enhancements and updates to the Detective Flow Imaging (DFI) technology used during Endoscopic Ultrasound procedures.
