New routine colonoscope added to endoscopy portfolio

Fujifilm Healthcare Europe announce the European launch of the new routine colonoscope Eluxeo® EC-860S with a state-of-the-art CMOS sensor.

Following the Eluxeo^® 8000 system, this is the third in an entire series of new and upcoming innovations to be released under the ‘Welcome, Future’ initiative.

The declared aim of the initiative is to leverage the company's engineering, craftsmanship and over 90 years of imaging heritage, to redefine what’s possible for endoscopy and welcoming a new era of possibility for EndoSolutions. The Fujifilm Healthcare Team has developed a series of new technologies designed to transform the endoscopy journey, from screening to treatment. These will be revealed in stages across the next two years, the company announces.

Fujifilm welcomes the future of endoscopy

With the Eluxeo® 8000 system, Fujifilm Healthcare Europe is bringing their latest in endoscopy to European markets. The system – the first in an all-new series – features new therapeutic capabilities, workflow management and improved image quality.

Commonly used in bowel cancer screening, routine colonoscopes support endoscopists during the screening for polyps or abnormalities. With image quality being a key factor, the EC-860S Eluxeo^® Colonoscope has now been equipped with a new high-resolution CMOS sensor.

With the addition of Fujifilm’s more light-sensitive high-resolution CMOS sensor, the new 800 Series Eluxeo^® EC-860S colonoscope is designed to enhance high-definition image quality, supporting special light observation modes such as Linked Color Imaging (LCI), Blue Light Imaging (BLI) and Amber-red Color Imaging (ACI) that can assist in the entire screening-to-treatment endoscopy journey. It offers 170° field of view, a 12.8 mm outer diameter, a 3.8 mm instrument channel, and is available in three lengths.
