Agfa HealthCare IT sales selected business parts to Dedalus Group

Agfa HealthCare announces the successful sale of part of its IT business to the Dedalus Group at an enterprise value of 975 million euro. The part that has been sold consists of the Healthcare Information Solutions (Electronic Health Record, the ORBIS platform) and the Integrated Care activities in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Brazil as well as specific Imaging IT activities in these geographies.

The completion of the deal enables Agfa HealthCare to focus 100% on its core global Imaging IT software business, flagship solutions and customers. Agfa Imaging IT continues to be a key part and division of the Agfa-Gevaert Group, headquartered in Mortsel, Belgium and traded on Euronext Brussels (AGFB). “The sale of this business is a major step in our transformation process. The proceeds of the sale will help us to secure the future of our Group and to further implement the strategies we have developed for our various activities. Going forward, Agfa HealthCare will focus on its core Imaging IT software business. Based on our flagship Enterprise Imaging platform and the IMPAX® solutions, we will continue to deliver superior value to our Imaging IT customers,” says Pascal Juéry, President and CEO of the Agfa-Gevaert Group.
