The portable Mysono U5 ultrasound

Sonoace, the German distributor of the Korean firm Medison Co. Ltd has launched its first hand carried ultrasound machine MySono U5 at Medica. ‘Complete with various image optimisation processing technologies in a lightweight and compact form , Mysono U5 is designed to guarantee immediate diagnostics in a wide range of applications, such as emergency medicine, vascular, musculoskeletal and obstetrics/gynaecology.

Along with a fast boot up time and rechargeable battery, Mysono U5 comes with a specially designed cart and backpack that offers free movement, ease of transport to the bedside, emergency department or anywhere users want to go,’ Sonoace reports.
‘With its compact design, Mysono U5 provides the state-of-the-art technology 3-D XI (3-D eXended Imaging) including Multi-Slice View, Oblique View, VolumeCT, for more powerful and rapid 3-D/4-D performance. Inheriting its core imaging technologies from a traditional, wheel based system, SONOCAE X8, MySono U5 allows users to make fast and accurate diagnoses with the maximum of confidence and caters to all needs of physicians,’ the firm adds.
MySono U5 began its global release at the 19th International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology congress (ISUOG 2009) in Hamburg, Germany and has been officially launched at Medica.
