United Imaging Healthcare has announced that uPMR Zenith – described by the company as the world's first* LIVE-Dynamic PET/MR – has received CE marking, enabling the system to enter the European market and further expanding the company's molecular imaging portfolio across the region.
The system's high-performance gradient and radiofrequency subsystems enable LIVE imaging, transforming MR from "photography" to "videography" while simultaneously acquiring real-time PET measurements. With a target patient slot time of 15 minutes for whole-body scanning, this integrated PET/MR is designed to improve clinical throughput through a more efficient scanning workflow while supporting a comfortable patient experience.
"The CE marking for uPMR Zenith is a key milestone in our ongoing commitment to the European healthcare community," said Qun Chen, Ph.D., President of United Imaging Healthcare Europe. "We are proud to introduce technology that is designed to deliver exceptional precision and directly supports clinicians in providing the highest standard of patient care."
Featuring an axial field of view of 42 cm – the longest* on the market according to the company – uPMR Zenith redefines precision and depth in molecular imaging by incorporating state-of-the-art PET hardware designed to achieve high system sensitivity and time of flight (TOF) resolution.
The CE marking of uPMR Zenith marks another important step in the expansion of United Imaging Healthcare's molecular imaging portfolio in Europe, bringing its latest PET/MR technology to clinicians and researchers across the region.
United Imaging Healthcare will showcase uPMR Zenith and its broader molecular imaging portfolio at EANM 2026 in Vienna, October 17–21. Visitors can meet the United Imaging team at Booth #506, EXPO X5, and join the company's symposium, "Living Body, Precision Imaging: Dynamic and Quantitative PET/CT" from 13:15 to 14:45 on Monday, October 19, in Hall K.
