Faster decision making with Olympus’ intelligent DP74 camera
Accelerate your workflow with the intelligent, high-resolution DP74 brightfield and fluorescence camera from Olympus. Histologists and pathologists face intense, rushed workloads where every minute counts. Experience enhanced efficiency with our next-generation camera. The DP74 creates a map of where you’ve been and can easily and rapidly lead you back to previous positions on the sample, making real-time viewing during discussions effortless - saving precious time in your decision making.
Never lose track of where you are with the DP74’s smart Position Navigator. This feature automatically creates a map to help you keep track of your location within a specimen - particularly useful when making observations at high magnification. There’s no need for a motorized or encoded stage, this clever camera does all the work, allowing you to focus on discussing findings with your colleagues. It’s also easy to go back and re-image previously viewed areas as the DP74 allows you to place real-time markers on the overview map to highlight areas of interest.

In addition, the low-magnification map of the sample containing location information can be stored along with the high-magnification observation image, making it very convenient for record-keeping or creating presentations.

As well as providing these intelligent features, the DP74 camera also delivers superior image quality with a 60 fps live image, 20.7 megapixel resolution and faithful color reproduction of histological stains. This results in an on-screen image that is true to life and as close as possible to the view through the oculars. In addition, an anti-whiteout function saves you time with every objective change by making the live image instantly available.
Further expanding the utility of this clever little camera, the DP74 has been specially designed to image at a high sensitivity in both brightfield and fluorescence applications, making the camera ideally suited for applications where both imaging modes are used on the same microscope. In fluorescence applications, the DP74 automatically recognizes low-emitting samples and adjusts the live image, resulting in a fast live image while moving the stage, and a clean snapshot when the image is stationary.
