New: EIZO PX3150 for digital pathology

The PX3150 is a 30.5-inch medical monitor developed specifically for digital pathology, with a resolution of 8 megapixels (4096 × 2160 pixels). Compared to conventional 4K monitors (3840 × 2160 pixels), it offers a larger display area and, with its features tailored to the requirements of digital pathology workflows, supports reliable visualization in digital pathological diagnostics.

With the increasing prevalence of digital pathology, the demands placed on laboratories and diagnostic workflows are growing. As digital images based on Whole Slide Imaging (WSI) increasingly form the basis of pathological assessments, consistency and reproducibility in image reproduction are crucial. The PX3150 is EIZO’s first monitor developed specifically for digital pathology.

To ensure precise color reproduction right from the very first use, every PX3150 monitor is individually calibrated at the EIZO factory. The color space and gamma are precisely calibrated to ensure that the sRGB color space is rendered correctly. This provides a reliable visual reference for the evaluation of digitized pathological specimens created using Whole Slide Imaging (WSI).

Regular recalibration ensures consistently high image quality. The integrated front sensor (IFS) enables automatic color accuracy checks and calibrations, which can also be carried out outside of operating hours using the RadiCS quality assurance software.

Via USB-C, the PX3150 also functions as a docking station. A single cable enables connection to the computer whilst simultaneously supporting network access, peripheral devices and power supply to the laptop. This simplifies workflows in telepathology.

With its FDA approval as a Digital Pathology Display and compliance with the Class A requirements of the European IVDR, the PX3150 provides a reliable display environment for pathological applications.

In the interests of sustainability, the PX3150’s casing is made from 70% recycled plastic and is supplied in resource-efficient packaging.
