Vue Cloud Services enable customers to access Carestream’s Clinical Collaboration Platform, driven by a unified backend that provides image and workflow management and vendor-neutral archiving as well as advanced multimedia and interactive reporting capabilities. The unified backend includes security, data protection and disaster recovery for multiple types of clinical data and standards such as DICOM, PDF, JPEG and XDS. Vue Cloud Viewing Services allow direct access to reports and imaging studies by physicians. It also offers secure, zero-footprint access for distribution and reading by remote physicians with Carestream’s Vue Motion enterprise viewer—a KLAS 2018 category leader.
All services can be fully integrated with a facility’s electronic medical record (EMR).

“Our ability to optimize cloud performance and collaborate with firms like Intel (Intel white paper) is paying off with increased demand from healthcare providers across the globe,” said Ludovic d’Aprea, Carestream’s General Manager for Healthcare Information Solutions. “We are expanding the capabilities of our Clinical Collaboration Platform to be more powerful than ever with advances such as an orchestrated workflow. We are also adding new data centers including one in China and more countries are expected to adopt our platform in 2018.”

Cloud services offer advantages for facilities of all sizes because they deliver high-performance applications with a predictable fee that eliminates the need for a large capital investment and continuous maintenance, management and technology upgrades.

Imaging centers and mid-sized hospitals benefit from a service model that offers high-quality archiving and image-sharing features along with expertise in data security delivered by Carestream’s Certified Tier 4 Security Data Center (security white paper). This data center includes: redundant IT infrastructure; multiple independent data paths; dual-powered computing and environmental systems; fault-tolerant site infrastructure; continuous surveillance with strict access control; and ISO/IEC 27001 certification.

Healthcare providers of all sizes appreciate services that include technology refreshment and can be easily scaled to accommodate a growth or decrease in imaging volumes.
