No call will ever be lost: ‘We made it secure under all circumstances. Not only does it ensure a high level of reliability and safety, also fall back scenarios are standard in the system. We deliver the call to the responsible nurse or nurses and if she/he is busy the call is escalated to the next, ensuring an assistive and effective way of working.’
The next step will be voice communication between patient and staff using VoIP, Ascom reports. This will enable nurses to talk with patients, find out why a call was made, and act accordingly.
