Very thin desktop readers ID RW40.30 / ID CPR40.30 are used especially at the Point of Sale at cash registers, terminals or reception desks. Due to their balanced appearance they can be integrated in every surrounding without any problem.

„We are very proud of the nomination for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany. We are exited if our RFID readers will score well in the category „Produkt Design“ within this competition“, tells Andreas Löw, Marketing Manager, Feig Electronic GmbH. „Obviously we found the symbiosis of highest technical functionality and an elegant, modern design.“

The Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany is the country´s highest distinction in the field of design. It is known as the „Prize of Prizes“. The reason: no other design award sets such strict criteria on entries. Thus, a company can only enter the competition for the Design Award if its product has already been awarded a national or international design prize. Another precondition for entry is that companies must have been nominated by the Ministries and Senators of the Federal States or by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.

GOOD DESIGN Award 2008 as basis for the nomination

Winning the GOOD DESIGN Award 2008 was the basis for the nomination of the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany 2010 for the OBID Reader Family.
„This award belongs to the most famos competitions at all. Following the principle „quality, not quantity“, already the nomination is used by several companies for their corporate communication, rightly. Finishing this competition with an award is one of the greatest honors for company and products.” says Torsten Gratzki from piu products Integrated Design, who designed the housings of this product family for FEIG ELECTRONIC.
