3 design awards for Eppendorf in 1 year
With its initial launch at the start of 2010, the Xplorer® electronic pipette has already been awarded 3 design prizes in its first year on the market. Immediately following its market launch in March 2010, the Xplorer won the "red dot: best of the best" award in the product design 2010 category (Life science and medicine division).
Since 1955, the red dot award has recognized exceptional international design achievements for a variety of industrial products throughout the world. It is one of the largest and most renowned designer competitions in the world.
November 2010 brought two more distinctions: the Golden Pin Design Award and the iF product design award.
Annually awarded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan, the Golden Pin Design Award is one of the most famous design prizes in Asia, recognizing work from top designers all over the world.
The third distinction, also awarded at the end of November 2010, is the iF product design award 2011.
Since its introduction in 1953, the iF award has been an enduring, well-known trademark when it comes to "distinguished" design. Awarded by international experts, the iF Label represents seriousness and proven design quality. Submitted products are evaluated according to ergonomics, material selection, degree of innovation and safety, among other factors.
The design awards underscore Eppendorf's development philosophy. In addition to precision and accuracy, our corporate philosophy is grounded in the ergonomic design of the pipette. With the Xplorer electronic pipette, Eppendorf unites appealing design with low-impact operation. With its low weight and intuitive user prompting, the Eppendorf Xplorer guarantees stress-free work.
Over the last several years, Eppendorf has received many design awards for its innovative, high-quality lab products, and is set to continue this tradition with the Eppendorf Xplorer.
